Fantastic day in the mountains —– remembering our dear friend.

This was his favorite route.

So many great memories of him.

Nothing beats freshly grinded spices.

And first of all: Pepper.

Grinding the pepper corns in the mortel, you can immediately smell the strong flavor.

Added to any dish, you will get another dimension of flavor. It’s so strong and intense.

Recently I lost a dear friend. You knew him well too.

And it reminded me so much of being grateful.

Grateful for all the things in life.

Grateful for bein alive and healthy.

Grateful for having family and friends.

Today snow conditions were perfect.

I just went for a couple hours. But it was so worth it.

Just getting away from my desk, and get some fresh air.

It’s incredible how suddenly, while skiing, your brain comes up with solutions and ideas.

And when you are back with your work, you are just so much more inspired.

Especially when you are stuck with something, it’s always worth dragging yourself outside…and even if it is just for a short walk around the block.
