Atatürk changed the Turkish alphabet from Arabic to Latin, so to join the western world like using the timezones or the metric system. It must be such a difficult task to change your alphabet, and learn to write in another system. But it was a valuable sacrifice.
Unfortunately today,Turkish President Erogan is making the Hagia Sofia – biggest cathedral in world into a Mosque. He is removing the the sacrifice, and maybe he will return to Arabic Alphabet too. Stay tuned.
