Czesław Miłosz

A Nobel prize winning poet, and he wrote a book that is totally relevant today, “The Captive Mind”.

Brig, Soren and Reidar- I placed this book on your kindle. Your mind is captured, taken hostage by your mother. We live in the same age, please be-aware. Totalarians seek to take your freedom, they have already taken your father and convicted him to jail without any evidence or crime. Your mother is part of this murderous mob.

fair use, from WSJ.

Czesław Miłosz, a future Nobel Prize-winning poet who had just defected from Poland, began work in 1951 on a book called “The Captive Mind.” Even as Stalinist totalitarianism tightened its grip on Eastern Europe, many Western European intellectuals lauded the brave new world of Soviet communism as a model for overcoming “bourgeois forces,” which in their view had caused World War II. Living in Paris, Miłosz wrote his book, which was published in 1953, to warn the West of what happens to the human mind and soul in a totalitarian system.

Miłosz knew from experience, having lived through the Communist takeover, how totalitarianism strips men and women of their liberty, transforming them into “affirmative cogs” in service of the state and obliterating what had taken centuries of Western political development to achieve. Totalitarianism not only enslaved people physically but crippled their spirit. It did so by replacing ordinary human language, in which words signify things in the outside world, with ideologically sanctioned language, in which words signify the dominant party’s ever-changing ideas of what is and is not true.

Since the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis, nationwide protests, which quickly turned to riots, have been hijacked by the neo-Marxist left, morphing into an all-out assault on American cities and institutions. This assault is underpinned by an audacious attempt to rewrite history that turns specific past events into weapons not only to overpower political opponents but also to recast all of American history as a litany of racial transgressions.

The radicals have turned race into a lens through which to view the country’s history, and not simply because they are obsessed with race. They have done so because it allows them to identify and separate those groups that deserve affirmation, in their view, and those that do not. What is taking place is the resegregation of America, the endpoint of which will be the rejection of everything the civil-rights movement stood for.

What is driving the radical protesters and rioters—who are enabled and manipulated by the “digital intelligentsia” in the press and an expanding segment of the political and business classes—is contempt for the freedom of anyone who fails to comport with their image of a just society. In authoritarian systems those in power seek to proscribe certain forms of political speech and social activity. Totalitarians claim unconditional authority to reach deep into each person’s conscience. They prescribe an interpretation of the world and dictate the language with which citizens are permitted to express that interpretation. Authoritarian regimes leave largely untouched the private civic sphere of human activity; totalitarians destroy traditional value systems and reorder the culture. That is why they are harder to overthrow.

The ill-named progressivism that has inspired shrill demands to dismantle police forces and destroy statues is only a small manifestation of a massive project aimed at the re-education of the American population. The goal of this project is to negate the story of the American republic and replace it with a tale anchored exclusively in race categories and narratives of oppression. The nature of this exercise, with its sledgehammer rhetoric that obliterates complexities in favor of one-dimensional “correct” interpretations, is as close to Marxist agitprop as one can get.

Why do American elites, who might be expected to favor preserving the nation that has elevated them, support the effort to dismantle it? Their thinking seems to be that the radicals destroying monuments and issuing wholesale denunciations of America’s past are wreaking destruction on ordinary Americans and their history, not on the elites and their ideology. Today’s elites as a rule do not believe they have any obligation to serve the public, only to rule it, and so they express little or no disapproval of college students toppling statues on federal land or looters raiding supermarkets. To criticize them would open elites to the charges of “populism” and “racism.”

Yet the elites are playing a dangerous game. Such “canceling”—of historical and living figures alike—increasingly mirrors what happened under communism in the Soviet bloc, where the accusation of being out of step with the party was enough to end one’s career and nullify one’s reputation.

This is about more than statues and history. Those who control the symbols of political discourse can dominate the culture and control the collective consciousness. If you doubt this, ask yourself why there has been so little backlash from ordinary, nonelite Americans. Our sense of self has been progressively deconstructed. We feel in our bones the wrongness of the violence being visited on the nation but lack the language to speak against it.

The resegregation of American society is fundamentally undemocratic and un-American. It envisions a social hierarchy based on DNA. It is also incompatible with individual freedom and constitutional government. Hence the drive to overhaul the U.S. Constitution, rewrite textbooks, and restructure museums by race and sex quotas.

Democracy cannot survive in a society in which winners and losers are adjudicated arbitrarily according to criteria beyond individual control. Any society built around the principle of skin color will become a caste system in which accident, not merit, will allocate value and benefit. Civil society will be buried once and for all.

The current radical trends carry the seeds of violence unseen in the U.S. since the Civil War. The activists ascendant in American cities insist on the dominance of their ideological precepts, brooking no alternative. Such absolutism forces Americans away from the realm of political compromise into one of unrelenting axiology, with one side claiming a monopoly on virtue and decency while the other is expected to accept its status as perpetually evil, and thus assume a permanent penitent stance for all its real and imagined misdeeds across history.

Only when the state creates a space for an unbiased debate over history can a discussion truly take place unhindered by ideology and dogma. Only then can a society move toward a consensus on a shared understanding of its past and how its collective memory should be shaped. The U.S. is roiled by spasms of violence and intolerance today because government at all levels—public education systems, states that allow universities to promulgate speech codes and “safe spaces,” court decisions that define constitutionally protected speech as, in effect, everything but political speech—has abdicated its duty to protect the public space. Children are rampaging through the cities because the adults have left the room.

America is in the throes of a destructive ideological experiment, subjected to a sweeping and increasingly state-sanctioned reordering of its collective memory, with the increasingly totalitarian left given free rein to dominate public discourse. Miłosz, who died in 2004, would see an American mind bloated by a steady diet of identity politics and group grievance served up by ideologues in schools nationwide. These ideologues have nearly succeeded in remaking our politics and culture; they are reinforced by a media in thrall to groupthink, by credentialed bureaucrats, and by politicians shaped in the monochrome factories of intellectual uniformity that are America’s institutions of higher learning.

American society is faced with a stark binary choice. Either we push back against the unrelenting assault of the neo-Marxist narrative, or we yield to the totalitarian impulse now in full view in our politics. It is no longer enough to wait for the next election, or to pin our hopes on a “silent majority” that will eventually stop the madness. There may be no such majority. If there is, its members may no longer be able to articulate what they see unfolding around them. It is hard to call things by their proper names in a society whose elites insist on calling looters and arsonists “protesters,” national monuments “symbols of racism,” and the victims of looting and arson the beneficiaries of “white privilege.” The challenge is massive, but it starts with the simple act of calling things by their proper names.

Hate Crime III

Another hate crime you think…

Nope, another fraud by 3 lying women, claiming to be victims of racism when they are the actual perpetrators of violence and abuse- they are the criminal- and pretend they are victims. Just like your mother. It is horrible that people behave this way.

Death Penalty

This is the most disturbing story. It begins with a terrible tragedy of mental illness and murder, and then the legal system actually weaponizes normal caring people into pure evil- killing more, and destroying young girls. Mark and his two daughters suffer so horrendously, it is unfathomable.

  1. Mark’s beautiful wife was murdered by his humiliated childhood friend.
  2. Later, Mark’s friend worked out a “plea deal” with prosecutors to tell a clearly false story, and get another man convicted to a life sentence, and the Mark sentenced to death. The actual murder gets only “20 years” for his deception.
  3. Now the children have no parents. And the maternal grandparents have alienated the poor children from the paternal side.

In a ray of hope, Amanda Knox was eventually freed from her wrongful conviction, I only pray for Mark will have the same outcome.

There are ghostly similarities in the wrongful convictions of Mark Sievers and Amanda Knox.  This document is meant to highlight the similarities.  Scan the bold titles for a quick summary.

Graphic murder of a beautiful woman–   This type of murder makes people more emotional,  more enraged more than murder of a gang member or of a man.  Somebody must PAY!  Beautiful innocent woman killed in gory photos creates the harshest punishment.  Facts and evidence are routinely dismissed to soothe the horror.

Meredith Kercher

,   Theresa Sievers

Global news story for a small community unaccustomed to the media. Local Police found itself in high pressure cooker, to find evidence quickly and bring a conviction.  The media and public pressure (and possible fame) gets police to lie, deceive and make ridiculously false claims. Ditto for prosecutors looking for glory and promotion. If contradictory evidence emerges later, they will commonly refuse to accept it- for fear of looking incompetent.

Murderer(s) are found in a very different location weeks laterRudy Guede was found weeks later in Germany with compelling objective evidence of fingerprints against Meredith,  Curtis Wright and Jimmy Rodgers were found 2 months later in Missouri, with compelling evidence from GPS logs and video showing them at Theresa Sievers house at time of murder.

The Murderers confess to the crime when presented with overwhelming evidenceWhen the actual murderer is caught and interrogated with compelling evidence, they begin to tell stories, and squirm about exactly what happened.  They are told if they “confess”, then will get a lighter sentence than if they profess innocence.  Eventually, after negotiation both murderers confess… And sadly Amanda and Mark later understand the severe penalty of proclaiming innocence to prosecutors, and challenging the prosecutor’ narrative.

The Murderers have prior record of criminal activity.  While doubt about the reliability of testimony from these confessed murderers Rudy and Curtis should be front and center in the court… Just the opposite occurs. The prior criminal convictions are buried by prosecutors and they become uncontested Truth Tellers. In fact the murder’s testimony become the primary source of conviction against Amanda and Mark.   It is hallmark, common pattern in a court case where the prosecution lack any factual or objective evidence.

Plea deal leads to “Fast-Track Non-Trial” for Murderer.    The murders are effectively offered a no-jury trial, which has a guaranteed sentence by a judge, and no uncertainty that a jury trial would provide.  In a quid-pro-quo, Rudy is offered a plea deal, a lighter sentence if he will testify against Amanda.   Curtis Wright was offered a 20-year sentence- rather than death sentence, if he would testify against Jimmy Rogers (life sentence) and Mark Sievers (death penalty).  Neither murderer, Rudy or Curtis had to face cross examination or a jury.  Instead they could implicate others, and lie in their own murderous activity, and not get be questioned or cross-examined.  Their incentive: the better they lie about the crimes of others, the lighter their own punishment.

No actual evidence ties Amanda or Mark to the crime- just testimony of convicted criminalsReality, and objective evaluation of facts was suspended in the Amanda and Mark court cases.  The cases become a ridiculous circus of emotions, and obvious contradictions rather than review of actual evidence. Because there was no evidence tying them to the murder, the prosecution relies entirely on the testimony of the confessed killers, Rudy and Curtis.

Amanda and Mark are “not normal people” according to prosecutorsThe prosecution impugns the character of Amanda and Mark – as “not acting normal” upon learning of the murder.   Rather than prosecution having the burden to prove the crime to the court, instead they abdicate this responsibility and rely on the presumption of guilt.  The prosecution raises doubts about their behavior about how a normal person would act when they learn a loved one has been murdered.  What is “normal” when you suddenly learn a loved one is killed?  If that is the best evidence that a prosecutor can put forward, then a wrongful conviction is obvious.  Too obvious.  And the prosecution maintains that the true confessed murderers- are now uncontested Truth Tellers.   Absurd.

Revenge by the victim’s family is a driving force of the wrongful convictionThe family of Meredith and Theresa are thirsty for blood to avenge the horrible crime.  Meridith’s family spent years in Italy trying to convict Amanda and still believes Amanda is the killer- incredibly even to this day.  They were not satisfied with Rudy’s confession- they wanted more . Theresa’s parents demanded the death penalty for Mark- years before his trial.   The confession by Curtis was not sufficient for their revengeful feelings.   Theresa’s parents revenge for Mark even extends to the grandchildren, who do not want their father killed. Theresa’s parents alienate the grandchildren and shun all the extended family on Mark’s side, not allowing them contact with the daughters.  Think of crimes Theresa’s parents are extending to Mark (his death), the children (now losing both parents).   The family of the victims are emotionally unhinged with their grief, and demand revenge, not justice.

The sentence for the innocent is higher than sentence of the guilty Amanda received a sentence of 28.5 years, while the actual murderer,  Rudy Guede has 16 year sentence.  Curtis Wright the actual murderer gets 20 year sentence, while Jimmy Rogers his naïve accomplice gets life imprisonment, and Mark Sievers, his best friend is convicted to death sentence.  If you are innocent, your sentence is going to be far worse than if you are guilty.  That is how prosecutors work and gin up their narrative.  They will lie, fabricate evidence and hide exculpatory evidence to win their case- winning a severe sentence is their goal, not justice.

Amanda is now free, Mark is awaiting his execution.   This is where the cases diverge.   Let’s try to get Mark the same outcome as Amanda.  While freedom is not truly justice for Mark and Amanda, it is better than the status quo.

Justice would require the prosecutors and police go to jail for their crimes of willful deception and malfeasance.

Racist!

Robin DiAngelo is the most racist person I have ever heard in my entire life. She wants to evaluate people based on skin color, rather than their individual character.

She is the wolf in lambs clothing- she claims to be exactly opposite of what she is. She is using Marxist techniques to destroy indiviual liberty and individual character, and replace with a segregated world of race. Beware of her brew of ideological nonsense. She is dangerous woman.

Dr. Robin DiAngelo is the author of “What Does it Mean to Be White?

Beware boys- the world is full of frauds and idealogies that are dangerous.

Dogwalker II

Amy Cooper- the dog owner who called the Police on a black man for “threats” is being charged with a false police report.

But the black man – Christian Cooper does not want anything to do with prosecuting her. He was not charged with a crime, and happy to let her go. He is kind-hearted, non-violent man.

I thought that was the right approach with Lise-Anne too. Let her heal… and that she would reform herself. That was a massive mistake. It only emboldened the lies and deceptions.

But what if Christian–the man- did not have a video of this incident? Like most men do not. What if the police arrested him because of her allegations and he was placed in jail? He would be convicted of a crime and perhaps imprisoned like your Papa. #liesdestroylives.

We must STOP these people making false claims. Amy Cooper should be punished for such an outrageous claim. Jussie Smollet is free after a false hoax crime, but how many innocent men rot in jail because they do not have a video of the hysterical person making a false claims?

  • Michael Flynn
  • Ross Ulbrict
  • Julian Assange
  • Tommy Robinson
  • Roger Stone
  • Duke Lacross Players
  • Jerry Cox

The list could go on for hundreds. False are worse than petty criminals. They deserve harsher punishment than one’s caught stealing when poor, or mentally unstable. Lies destroy peoples lives- and this is cruel. They are perpetrators of serious crimes. If you send someone to jail falsely… you have assaulted someone far worse that punching them, or stealing all their money. You have taken their freedom and their reputation. It is crime to lie- which is why it one on the ten commandments.

Excusing a person for lying is not a good policy..

Angelucci

Marc was murdered some weeks ago. Respect him, and listen to him talk in the interview below.

Brig, Soren & Reidar- please ask yourself when listening if he is a raving lunatic, racist, misogynist. My view is just the opposite. He is rational, inclusive and kind. And this is exactly why the woke mob could not stand him. They had to silence him- by killing him.

Why did he provoke feminists so much to kill him? Because he is rational, kind and virtuous. He he was a violent, stupid man, they would not care.

Your mother is capable of murder- look at the brutal acts she has done against our family, the fraud and false claims against me. Your mother needs to be stopped before more murders like Marc’s are allowed to happen. Love Papa.

Gender is Real

Brig, Soren and Reidar-

This is really interesting comparison. At that tails, Men and Women are very different. And if you diminish the cultural barriers to both sexes- People actually segregate even more along sex and gender and self-select different careers and choices. (good evidence in Sweden)

Be Brave, Be Free. Love Papa.
